Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and SCADA Design

C.E AUTOMATION is aware of the ever-growing importance of innovation to Industrial Manufacturing, including PLC, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and SCADA technologies. We have been involved with the HMI’s evolution from a simple push-button station replacement to the advanced SCADA capabilities of today. The various projects with which C.E AUTOMATION has been associated have exposed our employees to many different types of HMIs.

Some lower-level units include TCP SmartScreen, Allen-Bradley Panel View, and C-More while more advanced systems have been developed using Allen-Bradley Control View, Wonderware, Ignition, and iFIX software designed to run with Windows operating systems. C.E AUTOMATION has developed hundreds of HMI/SCADA nodes and screens utilizing Keyboard, Touch Screen, and Mouse Driven interfaces. C.E AUTOMATION realizes the value of the HMI/SCADA node and its ability to help individuals predict, troubleshoot, and diagnose process problems. Therefore, C.E AUTOMATION designs HMIs with the objective of presenting and allowing the user to enter information that is readily accessessible, consistent, and understandable. Regardless of the HMI manufacturer, C.E AUTOMATION’s development concept is consistent; we design a system that is structured, standardized, and flexible.
